Children and Families Pastor
I am not ashamed to say that I am a kid at heart. I’m married to my awesome wife Heidi. We have 5 kids together: Hannah, Sophie, TJ, Sadie, Michael. I love baseball, especially the Royals and Cubs. My life involves hanging out with my family, building legos, fishing, Star Wars, comics and video games, watching movies on Netflix, dreaming and talking about life and reading books. I love teaching kids about Jesus. I get encouragement by reading and listening to books like “Ragamuffin Gospel” by Brennan Manning, “Life Together” by Dietrich Bonhoffer and “Dad is Fat” by Jim Gaffigan.
Student Ministries Pastor
My wife Rae, my son Asher and I love to witness and encourage students to develop a genuine relationship with Jesus. We love to play disc golf, cook, drool (mostly Asher) and live life with others. Youth ministry has been a privilege, not just a paycheck for us. All youth, regardless of where they are or are coming from, are our future. We believe that they matter as they are and deserve to be believed in. It’s our joy to serve and invest in our future through youth ministry.

I am married to my amazing wife and high school sweetheart, Bethany Enoch and the proud dad of 3 beautiful little girls. I love sports and being as active as possible. I grew up a missionary kid in Africa, living in Zaire, Zambia and Kenya. Before moving to Pittsburg, KS I lived in Kansas City for 13 years, 8 of those working for Cerner Corporation as a Software Engineer. As a kid, I was always drawn towards photography, graphic design and computers. When my family and I moved down to Pittsburg, it was my original plan to start a photography business. Shortly after moving, our family got plugged in at PittNaz, where God started to reveal His calling for me to use my talents to further His Kingdom at this church community. I love having the opportunity to find creative ways to communicate with and connect people inside and outside our PittNaz family.
Unlike everyone else I do not have a wife or kids, but I do have a few great guitars that I love to spend time with. I started playing guitar and singing at church at a young age and continued to when I went to Victory Bible College in Tulsa, OK for Worship Leadership. Worship to me is more than just singing and playing an instrument but a daily lifestyle of giving God all the glory in every situation. In my down time you can usually find me at a coffee shop with my headphone’s on trying to find new worship music.
One of my favorite quotes is by Jeremy Riddle, “Sometimes the best moment to sing a victory song is in the middle of your battle.”
I have been married to the world’s greatest woman since 1997, and I am the very proud father of three sons. Growing up in central Texas, I moved to the Midwest after high school, and have been here ever since. I arrived at PittNaz in January of 2017 and almost immediately felt like I had been here for years. It is just that kind of church family! I love sports, woodworking, and mostly just hanging out with my family. Holding various ministry positions since 1996, I received my Master’s Degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary in 2010. My passion in ministry is any kind of teaching—preaching, writing, or one-on-one conversations—where people encounter God’s truth and are transformed because of it. I believe the path to vibrant Christian maturity is built on growing closer to Christ, developing relationships with other Christ-followers, and using our gifts and resources to tell others about him.
I am honored to serve alongside the great people of PittNaz as their Lead Pastor. I have been pastoring here for 13 years; 10 as a youth pastor and the last 3 years as Lead Pastor. I believe in servant leadership and empowering and equipping others to be what God has called us all to be in Christ. There are many things I love as a pastor, but one of the things I enjoy most is inspiring others to find their God-given gifts and roles in ministry. I love people and enjoy building relationships with those in the community and within our church family.
I graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Youth Ministry and received ordination as ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 2005.
Vision and Mission for PittNaz:
The vision for PittNaz is to “connect ordinary people with an extraordinary God.” We strive to achieve our vision through our threefold mission:
- Gather together for worship and community.
- Grow spiritually in small groups of like-minded believers.
- Go make a difference inside and outside the church family through serving and sharing our faith in God.
